Until the Ruger Mark III 512M, all Lipsey's Exclusive Ruger 22 LR semi-auto pistols have had a standard or polished blue finish. This model broke the mold with its matte blue finish and silver aluminum grips.

The Ruger Mark III 512M is the result of one our "what hasn't been done to the Mark III" talks. We decided that a matte finish gun would be different, but still look good. Ruger sent us a matte blue and matte stainless pistol to evaluate. The matte stainless looked washed out and not nearly as as good as the matte blue finish. We wanted to contrast the grips with the rest of the gun and chose the Hogue silver aluminum grips made with the Ruger medallion in them. In all, we are very pleased with how this gun turned out and continue to keep it in our Lipsey's Exclusive line today.
