Since the year 2000, brothers Jeff, Boge, and Greg Quinn have taken online gun reviews to the next level with Gunblast.com.  What started out as a venue to write honest evaluations on guns both new and old has turned into the go-to place online to get the scoop on everything that goes bang.  Lipsey's is proud to be associated with Gunblast.com and we always look forward to meeting up with the Quinn brothers.

Earlier this year, we met with the Gunblast crew and Ruger to create a special Gunblast edition rifle.  The final product turned out to be the classic Ruger 77 African rifle with upgraded circassion walnut, a high polish blue finish, and special serial numbers.  The serial numbers start at GB-00001. This gun is chambered in the classic 9.3X62mm caliber and as Jeff would say, "It's a dandy".  The 9.3X62mm has a .366 bore diameter and it approaches 375 H&H power with a standard length case.  Think of it as filling the gap between the 35 Whelen and the grand 375.  Twenty five guns were originally ordered and were sold in 45 minutes!

We will have additional small runs made due the overwhelming demand for this special rifle. To the credit of the guys at Gunblast, they didn't want a gun with their name written all over it or highly embellished with gold inlay and such. They wanted a rifle that everyone could appreciate and use, but with some nice refinements.  For you Ruger collectors out there, this is definitely one to take a look at!
